Introduction to Parts of Speech: Building Block of English Language

Parts of speech are eight different categories which are considered to be the building block of English Language. These categories are based on their functions. It is very primitive and basic concept of English language with the reason that each word that form a sentence can be placed into one of the eight categories which ultimately gives meaning to that sentence. Another reason to learn this concept is that you cannot give meaning to any sentence without use of parts of speech.

The traditional eight building blocks of English are defined using bagful of semantic and functional explanations. Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs, Adverbs, Interjections, Conjunctions, Pronouns and Prepositions are eight elements of English. Out of all nouns are most important and others are dependent on each other.
